Australian EquitiesComprises numerous managed funds including the very popular Perpetual Industrial Share Fund. Perpetual Industrial Share Fund, has significantly outperformed its index over a 25 year period, with the level of outperformance increasing during the recent financial turmoil.
Global Equities
Perpetuals global eqiuities products are managed by PI Investment Management Limited (PIIML), a firm based in Dublin. Perpetual’s global equities business focuses on a single product, Perpetual International Share Fund.
Income and Multi Sector
This includes Perpetual’s cash, fixed interest, mortgage, property and infrastructure funds management, as well as their Select multi-manager and balanced fund management activities. Other activities include responsible entity services, trustee services, executor services, financial planning and superannuation services. PPT also provides financial advice, personal asset and portfolio management plus other services to its private client base. Its corporate services division also offers securitisation and trust services.

Apart from the various investment funds that Perpetual operates, it is also operates it’s own platform service, WeathFocus Investment Advantage, and regularly issues structured investment products.
WealthFocus
A popular product with some unique qualities is the WealthFocus Investment Advantage. As with other platforms this product allows investors to access a wide range of different funds from one account. There are in excess of 60 managed funds available through this platform, including:- ABN AMRO Asset Management

- Platinum Asset Management
- UBS Global Asset Management
A major point of difference for WealthFocus Investment Advantage is its associated taxation benefits which are backed by ATO Product Ruling (PR2008/62). Perpetual has reports that the taxation benefits are:
- CGT free switching.
- CGT free partial withdrawls until the cost base is reduced to zero.
- If the initial investment is held for more than 12 months, the CGT discount applies to all investments
Apart from the unique taxation related features of this product, WealthFocus allows relatively easy switching between funds, auto-rebalancing of investments, dollar cost averaging via regular savings plans starting from $100 and BPAY options for additional investments. Consolidated reporting and online access are also notable features.The Perpetual WealthFocus platform is available as investment, super and pension.
